What is Calibre?
Calibre
Calibre is a diagnostic and development tool that provides executives and entrepreneurs with the means to accelerate their business's capacity to create wealth. Armed with an analysis of the drivers within their company that lead to impact on customers as the reason behind current revenue on the one hand, and organisational focus on profitability on the other, new strategies and plans can be adopted to significantly improve future financial performance.
The Strategic Problem
The unpredictability created by increasing global competition and change, and shorter product life cycles, has lead to company executives realising that the sustainable impetus of a business is not inherent in its momentum, but is derived from the application of 'Entrepreneurial Drivers' within the organisation that created the momentum in the first place.
It is a well researched fact that in a typical organisation only about 20% of the people are competitively engaged, while about 20% are actively disengaged and 60% are only passively engaged.
Without a comprehensive measure of the extent to which 'Entrepreneurial Drivers' are present or absent in a business, executives and entrepreneurs have a critical 'Blind Spot' because of the time lag caused by the momentum in a business, for the effects (positive or negative) of this reality to be manifested in the financial results of a company. In a global, 21st century context this avoidable 'Blind Spot' represents a critical opportunity cost and risk to business.
Measurement and diagnosis by Calibre 'drills' below the momentum of a business to reveal whether or not a business:
- Is gaining or losing momentum.
- Has the capacity to compete into the future or not.
- Is delivering its full potential.
Calibre also explains WHY this is the case.
Development programmes demonstrate HOW to develop sustainable competitiveness.
